Funded by Skills Support for the Unemployed and Skills Support for the Workforce from the European Social Fund, Skills for Progress are delighted to be able to offer this training package for FREE to unemployed job hunters looking to get started in a career in catering.
The Berkshire Hospitality Career programme is made up of two sections. The first is our Level 1 Customer Service Qualification and the second is our Employability Skills Course.
The Level 1 Customer Service Qualification has been created and presented by Stuart Blakeledge, a Skills For Progress mentor with over a decade of senior customer service and management experience in various hospitality settings. This means the course has relevant experience incorporated into the syllabus which covers a variety of subjects including the principles of customer service and the benefits of good customer service as well as a unit addressing complaints and challenging customers. Upon completion of this part of the course you will receive a Level 1 Customer Service Qualification certified by Open Awards, an invaluable addition to your CV that will set you apart from other applicants.
The Employability Skills Course is designed to help learners track down the retail role that is right for them, and give them the skills to develop with in that role and the wider retail industry.
Learn how to master hospitality specific Job interviews, promotional interviews and learn how to manage a team confidently. Also learn valuable mental health skills, such as stress management in a catering setting and how to support your self and others.
