Berkshire Veterans’ Unemployment Programme

Helping ex-military personnel into long-term employment

Some veterans find adapting to civilian life difficult, this is made even more of a challenge for those who face physical, mental or social disadvantages because of their experiences in the UK armed services.

Skills for Progress have received funding from the EU Social fund to provide mentor supported employment training for unemployed Veterans in Berkshire. This funding means Skills for Progress can provide our training completely free of charge to the learner so they can focus on getting back into long term employment.

Our bespoke training programme is designed to be moulded around the needs and goals of the learners. Taking into account the learner’s different experiences and how that individual learns. Our tutors and mentors are on hand to support our learners to digest and put into practice what they have learnt in a practical and relevant way.

Transferable skills

You may not realise it, but you already have a wealth of skills from your service that you can tap into. Our courses will help you understand and utilise the wealth of knowledge you already have and show you how to develop it even further making you an asset to a future employer.
